What’s the livery of this truck on the illustration?

I only found two differences on my own:

  1. The ISU-152, based on the IS tank from 1944, had a frontal hull section welded from two rolled armor plates. This version of the self-propelled gun featured an increased gun mantlet thickness, from 60 to 90 mm, and larger fuel tanks.
  2. From early 1945, the ISU-152 was equipped with a large-caliber 12.7 mm DShK anti-aircraft machine gun with an open sight or a K-8T anti-aircraft sight on a turret mount on the commander’s right round hatch. The DShK carried 250 rounds of ammunition.

But here’s a “crazy” guy who described all the differences between this self-propelled gun across its entire production line. Of course, it’s all in Russian, but there’s not much text there.

Yuri - you could be just the man with your undoubted influence on Zvezda: how about suggesting the RDS-10 Pioneer (in 1/35 of course). There’s plenty of representation of more modern missiles around, but a Cold War game-changer like this fearsome missile would, well, amaze most modellers I am sure.

Just a dream I am sure(!)

All the best.

Thank you for your high praise, but my opinion means nothing to Zvezda. Just like the opinions of many others.
Every time the annual catalog is published, Zvezda is bombarded with various proposals, both emotional and logical. But Zvezda follows its own path, uncharted by anyone.

My impression is that Zvesta can only reproduce existing models and makes just as many mistakes as other manufacturers. Original and new creations are nonexistent at Zvesta. I’m thinking, for example, of the ZIL-131 and the GAZ-66. I would never buy that flatbed version of the GAZ-66. This version was never seen in the GSSD (German Army). Kudos to the ZIL-130 model, though; it’s perfect and, in my opinion, a model that shows how it can be done differently.

I hope you don’t take this criticism the wrong way.

Oh, don’t worry – there’s never too much criticism for Zvezda! There’s a dedicated thread on the Karopka modeling forum that’s full of criticism for the company. They’ve already removed any new product announcements, and it’s just pure criticism. And a lot of user bans.
The company’s controlling stake is owned by Hobby World Holding, Russia’s largest publisher, distributor, and manufacturer of board games. This means it’s not entirely independent in its commercial strategy.
Furthermore, it’s important to understand that the majority of model buyers aren’t modelers at all, but children. We don’t have a children’s store or a toy store that doesn’t stock Zvezda products. Yes, parents can buy their child just one assembly model, but there are a lot of children!

:hammer_and_wrench:The box art for the new 1/35 scale model is ready!

P.S. And here’s a criticism right away: the fasteners to the hatch are not attached to it.
But that’s okay, but here’s some interesting information: “It’s strange that the driver’s hatch is drawn closed, given that the model is planned to include the interior of the fighting and control compartments.”

Finally - this was the post I had been waiting for: What exactly made it better than the kit “from last century?”
The breech and preformed tracks are enough for me.
Although re a discussion last month on this, it would be nice to have to types of guide horns - (easy enough to do) those with holes and those without.

I agree. If this is really true, then I will definitely buy it. There is not long to wait.

Well, we can always dream!

BootsDMS, Dreams are good, but they also need to become reality. You can’t change the model-making world or achieve your goals with dreams alone.

Yuri,

Thank you for your quick reply and for allowing us to discuss this issue with Zvesta model kits. I can’t agree with your arguments regarding the current situation at Zvesta. In my opinion, children don’t play a decisive role in the development of model kits. Things have changed so much that model making isn’t as important to children as it was 20 years ago. Completely different areas of interest have taken over. This is true in Russia, just as it is in Germany and elsewhere. Computer technology plays a much larger role. Other aspects are crucial. The ZIL-130 demonstrated their capabilities. A perfect model, and they are the only manufacturer of this kit. They deserve the highest award. By the way, is the Karobka website still online? I can no longer access it.

Best regards Joachim
