I’ve been building models since the 60s so you can guess I’m not a kid anymore. Started building WW 1 aircraft, it’s been so long ago I can’t remember the brands but my dad used to buy them for me at the base exchange. We strung them up on fishing line on the ceiling.

A little later I started building model car kits and trying to customize them. As often happens I got interested in girls and real cars and the modeling hobby went away.

I renewed my interest about 20 years ago and started building again. I build almost anything if it’s interesting, armor, aircraft, cars, ships sci fi. I’d like to be able to build figures but my face painting skills are non existent. They end up looking like some strange kind of aliens.

As for my skill level, I’d have to rate myself as intermediate level even though the modeling club I belong to somehow was convinced I should enter models in the Master classification. To quote Lacy J. Dalton “Everybody makes mistakes”.
