Builder2010
Started modeling on my 8th birthday. Haven’t stopped. I’m now 75, but keep increasing my skills and challenges. Started resin 3D printing last year and am very good at using SketchUp to feed it. Right now I alternate between building a large (39’ X 15’) O’gauge model railroad, which has been a project since 1999 on and off, and plastic kits. I like anything that moves, but specialize in ships (1:350), air craft (1:32) and armor (1:35). I like models that have high parts count, fat instruction books and lots of decals. I’m skilled in using PE and have been scratch-building some serious structures for the railroad for the last 15 years. I’ve been published a few times in the modeling press. My favorite companies are Tamiya, Meng, Ryefield Models and Trumpeter (in that order).
