I am 65 years of age , started modelling when I was 10 mainly airfix 1/76 tanks and the figure sets. We wasn’t to fussy about seam lines or painting they were basically for playing war with your mates. Then when I was about 12-13 my local model shop started displaying models by serious modellers, this was a revalation to me . I was now on the road to being a modeller.for the next 30 years I was an aircraft fan ,member of an ipms branching obsessed with the hobby.then I got to about 45 years of age and suddenly I feel out of love with the hobby. Fast forward to 2019 my son and I were at the tank museum and browsing in the shop my son said to me you used to make models dad why don’t you buy a kit. L did it was a tamiya universal carrier and to be honest it stayed in the spare room until March 2020 well we know what happened then!! The bug is back now I’m an afv fan.
