I’m a retired School Teacher, who started making models when I was 10 years old. Like most model builders, I left the hobby in my early 20’s, got married, raised a family, and returned to the hobby in the late 90’s, when I had more free time. I mainly build 1/76 and 1/72 scale armor models and have built up an extensive collection of built and unbuilt models. I have a degree in History and like to combine my passion for learning about military history with my model building hobby. My Canadian Army models are my favorite subjects, but I build everything, from First World War tanks to modern AFVs. I am by no means a Master Modeler or Ph.D. level historian, but I can build, paint and weather a decent model and I do know a little more about military history than the average person on the street.
