Interestingly, DEF Model already offered some upgrades for this kit.

I hope they do a few other versions, but l really like the thought of an M715.

+1 for an M715 Kaiser “Five Quarter”.

And another vote for an M715 5-quarter. I need to build my wife a model of her RATT rig in III Corps MERDC.

Yep, we need the M715 Kaiser 5/4 ton. I picked up the D-Toy K311A1 with the plan to convert to the 715. That stalled out after a bit of work, as it seems, to my eye, that although similar in general appearance, the Korean truck is smaller dimensionally that the 715. Possibly due to a smaller powerplant resulting in less sheetmetal for front fenders and hood?
Perhaps some brave soul with 3D skills can craft a conversion for the new plastic kit, giving both trucks a chance to be built?

Could it be that the resin kit is slightly undersized all over? It does happen sometimes …

Resin shrinkage may be the case as the K311 is listed as a modern, license-built version of the M715. The dimensions of the two are pretty much identical. The small differences are probably due to fenders and bumpers being different.

M715
Length: 5328mm
Width: 2129mm
Height: 2228mm

K311
Length: 5460mm
Width: 2180mm
Height: 2450
