1/12 scale miniatures - aircraft mechanics

I’m working on a Monogram 1/12 scale Wright Cyclone R-1820 kit. I would like to have a mechanic or two working on it. I have not had any success in finding any in 1/12 scale. My preference would be USN personnel but any will do. Does anyone have an idea of where I might search for such an elusive item?

Speaking of elusive items is anyone familiar with the Pitcairn Mailwing(s) that dates to the beginning of the US air mail service, circa 1927 - 1931. I am looking for a model kit, scale unimportant, for any model of the Mailwing, PA-5, PA-6, PA-7 or PA-8. There is a PA-5 hanging in the Smithsonian but my model budget isn’t quite that big.

I was able to fine a kit of the Pitcairn PCA-2 autogiro (1/48) during my searching for the Mailwing. A Williams Bros. kit which I understand can be a real challenge. Hope I’m up to it.

That is more an action figure scale and not a traditional figure scale. Maybe something like that would work?

Ask if you can select a few and have them custom-scaled to 1/12 scale…

You can have this one 3D-printed from Speira in Sweden. 34€ in 1:12 scale, -unknown shipping cost. There are a few other poses on this 3D scanned person (whom I know :smiley:, -no, it’s not me…)

Thanks, but no luck for what I am looking for. I guess I will start searching for people/companies that will do custom 3D printing.
