“Germany’s Tiger Tanks - DW to Tiger 1” was published in the last millenium, and if Squadron would read it, they wouldn’t be so confused about turrets.
What is labelled as “Fourth turret” in that diagram, was never built at the factory. The caption says it has the thick roof, but they drew the forward weld from the thin roof. They also drew the loader’s hatch with a frame around it, which again means the thin roof plate must be there.
What they call an “interim” roof is no more “interim” than any of the others. It was standard for months.
And they omit one or two roofs completely.
