This little guy is a “work in progress”. Its final place will be part of a Stalingrad diorama/vignette.
I started with a VS Tank 1/24th scale mortar just as starting point for measurements and such. Knowing full well that the VS version won’t have the details or even correct dimensions. VS is a fine product, but it’s a solid diecast product, as such won’t have the level of details needed. PLEASE note that YES, my mortar appears much larger than the 1/24th version, which being 1/25th scale would be impossible. It’s kinda an optical illusion due the fact I haven’t yet trimmed the legs down. (at least that’s what I hope?)
