1/3 AR-15 Family

Not sure this is the correct forum for this, but…

A couple months ago, I got this bug to finish a Trumpeter 1/3 M4A1 model I’d had in the stash for 20 years. Maybe something to do with building my first actual AR =) Anyway, I went down a rabbit hole as I tend to do. I now own 12 of the various models they offered, some Easy Model built-ups I found cheap, and yes even some Goat Guns! Chasing the rabbit I realized the Trumpeter kits have some ridiculously weird errors…considering the effort that went to mold so many different variants, they missed the fact that vent holes on the triangular handguards were not round, and their M4 handguards have too many ribs (13 vs correct 11). Also, the early model kits have later M16A2 stocks so I had to shorten them and create new butt-pads without storage, and a proper triangle charge handle for the earliest USAF build. I decided to also stretch my scratch skills so am building a few of the oddities.: 606, 607, 608 (at least three different ones), and the DOE 633 and DEA 635 suppressed 9mms. Some 3D printed parts, and using the Goat Guns M4 handguard to cast a few more in resin. The other Goat Guns are decent models in themselves save for the screw holes, so building those with CY and covering the screw holes. I’m having parts from my full size AR printed up and will build a replica of it. PS: an excellent source of STL files for all things AR is the airsoft community…all at 1:1 scale, I just have it printed at 1/3.
