1/35 AFV Club Dodge WC51 'Beep' - "Hey Sarge, need a ride?"

Hi all, this is my first time on a model forum and I’ve been making models for the last four years.
I have just finished my latest model of the WC51 ‘Beep’ weapons carrier from AFV Club. It was a great build, I had fun with it and I could have done a few versions but I wanted to mount the big .50 cal MG on it. I added a Bronco US truck crew, which was meant for a jeep, so I had to place some crates and sandbags, planks of wood (for when they needed to roll a 55gal drum) so their feet would be resting on something instead of just floating in air. This is a great figure kit, I’ve used them in other builds and the details are good. It comes with decals and the GI’s are from the 3rd Inf Div. I think they look good in the back.
Cheers Dario.

Sorry, I am late to see this, but had to tell you that this turned out great. Must say, the guys and the placement look perfect. Outstanding job! Getting my AFV WC51 out of the stash and building it. Hmm, perfect safari truck? Anyways, thanks for the much needed inspiration.

Funny, I just finished Tamiya’s Korean War M4A3E8 a couple weeks back, which was fantastic fun. Debating how much weathering as I write. I am thinking dry summer, like an old Korean war veteran once told me about. Which kit, and model did you go with?

I can attest to that. At the Korean Special Warfare Center in Songnam - climbing up that muddy hill from our tents to get to the bunker. Nothing they did (empty sandbags, full sandbags, pieces of pallets) helped. You just had to take your life into your own hands or walk the long way around to avoid it. I just called it PT.
