Hi all, I’ve been plugging away at this build for the past three weeks. Finally completed my Egyptian tank in the Sinai during the Yom Kippur war. The diorama depicts an Egyptian tank crew on a short halt. A year ago i impulse bought a 1/35 Esci T-55 with a verlinden upgrade set for $20. I finally got around to building it and i will say it was challenging at times but i love the end result. I made my my own diorama base out of styrene plastic from hobby lobby and foam coated with modge podge. The ground work is ak interactive desert sand painted with ammo migs desert yellow. I gave it a wash of burnt umber to darken the sand and give it varying shades. The figures are from miniart’s Middle East tank crew set and we’re painted with ammo migs & ak interactive soviet uniforms.
