1/35 F103 Spartan with a twist

Back in December I got hold of Geckos 1/35 Spartan Ukrainian version..the plan was to be a simple quick build todo in my time off ..I was aware that they are bringing other versions out as they do like to get the most from the molds …being an ex Spartan cmdr it all seemed like a good idea ..

Then stupidly struck like it does ..the version is a diesel powered and bowman fit ..and well why not do an interior….and Uk version perhaps with some extras …so on we go

The box art .

The details are rather nice and the rear door has an interior so crying out for the rest

That’s a good start mate, I especially like the seat. Spent far too much time bouncing around on that uncomfortable contraption in Spartans and Strikers. I would imagine that SMM’s CVR(T) drivers compartment interior wouldn’t be hard to fit. Really only the battery boxes and batteries to be added for the instrument panel to sit on top.

Excellent job mate and like Max, that seat is exceptional….. and again, to much time spent on those or in the Striker …. Rest of the interior is looking sweet … does it come with the complete commands cupola & sight and GPMG mount, or just the Ukrainian parts ?

Seriously, are we going to have every iteration of a Spartan before we get the original? Odin turreted Spartans were produced for Afghanistan as a UOR and were produced in limited numbers and although I can’t find an exact figure I would dare say it was in the 10’s rather than higher, as against close to 700 originals for the British Army. I’ve only ever seen one and that was sold by my mate who refurbishes CVR(T)'s for collectors. It will come I have no doubt but it gets frustrating at times.

Thank you all for looking in and your interest..

Bear in mind at the moment nothing is glued in place so it’s all dry fitting to make sure it works .,
