GECKO BELL SK-5 PACV BUILD
Hmm β¦ what to do with the magnificent 1:35 PACV model I got for Christmas. Maybe an armed RAAF rescue machine? I better start working on a back story.

Hey! Welcome back, that would be a cool βWhat ifβ.
This is an extremely cool vehicle. Iβd love to see a blog on this.
If the PACV was a result of a licence built Brit SRN 6, then conceivably, it might be possible to produce a Brit version from this; hmmm. Probably too much modelling for me (let alone the research!) but it would look very interesting. The Brits had a trials squadron of them based in southern UK at Browndown Camp. I remember seeing them there back in 69/70, as we exercised on the same real estate when I was a Junior soldier.
I think the unit - and the trials only lasted around 8 years or so; that said, they were seen in Malaysia, and Aden amongst other places.
Interestingly perhaps, (or not!) they were classed as βDβ vehicles in the Army lexicon. βAβ being AFVs, βBβ soft skins, and βCβ engineer plant, which is still the system today sans βDβ vehicles of course.
Interesting topic, looking forward to seeing it get built up, in any livery you opt for. And welcome back !
