1/35 kifv k200a1

Finally i can get this project moving again! First i wanna say thanks to everybody for the help and all the nice comments! I finally got “forced” into 3d printing, cause apparently there are no 1/35 k2 rifles on the market (at least none that i found). Fortunately i was able to find a free k2 stl file online so i went ahead and made a few…

Along with some dome lights!

Interior is finally done!!! This took way to long……

Let me know what you think! Or if anything is wrong or needs improvement

Very nice. It looks great. The assorted stowed stuff looks very realistic.

Wouldn’t the boxes, ammo cans and stuff on that shelf need to be secured somehow so as not to end up all over the floor? They do look great.

I was originally gonna do that but it looked off to me cause there were no anchor points in the interior…. So i just omitted them completely

I’m finally back at…. Somehow i lost all interest in this project…. I just started it up again a few days ago and this is what i got

This is the fist time i made sandbags so please let me know how i did and where i can improve them for next time!

Question… what are these objects?

Looking good. I like how you did the hatch interiors.

For the items you asked about…

1 is a .30cal tripod for ground mounting the M60 MG.
2 is a mattock handle for the pickaxe.
3 is a tanker bar; long metal bar used for fixing/breaking track.

Finally done! I hope i didn’t over do it with the weathering, but some of the un vehicles i saw online (especially the m113’s) were very dirty… as usual let me know where i can improve or make things better for the next project!

I think I’m gonna take a little break… for some reason this project really drained me

Looks good to me. The weathering looks just right.

The only correction I will offer is the rear lights. Only the left side upper oval is red. The right has two slits for blackout stop and marker light; top short stop light, bottom long marker light.

K242A1 Mortar Carrier, but same basic vehicle.

The same as pretty much all other M113 rear light setups.

Hahaha i noticed that but i thought it was just a bad mold

Also just noticed your handle for the small rear door. It should be vertical, like on the camo one above, not horizontal.

Normally the latching handle is vertical, but you won’t not see it in other positons. I wouldn’t risk breaking something trying to fix it.

Those photos look like museum pieces, not in service vehicles.
In operation, the handle must be vertical in order for the hatch to be secured (locked) in place. Otherwise, the handle can vibrate loose during movement, allowing the hatch to pop open.

Well not quite, they are going to find new life as rebuilds, but I figured someone mught say that after I posted. So there were a few in this row as well, at Fort Carson. I’m quite sure the handle should be fully engaged when driving - my point is often as not is isn’t if you’re wanting to get in and out without constantly cranking on it. All current vehicles with 4 ID.

I’m merely trying to keep “the Greek” from having to unnecessarily risk breaking something to change something that doesn’t really need to be changed. Perfectly horizontal on this one, so safe to keep as such.
I’d post more but the second season of the Tourist is out today!

Thanks for the pointers! I’m not gonna fix anything on this model because i wasnt really going for accuracy, but more on believable. Hopefully in the near future i will be doing some m113’s so if you see anything wrong please point it out!

Looks great. Finish is well done and I think the weathering is fine. White attracts even the smallest speck of dirt and shows up easily . Great job
