1:35 Rome Plow from Vietnam

You’re most welcome Pawel ! I guess I’ll be able to dig out a few more pics for you soon. Talking about the engine, here’s a 1968 D339 for sale. The pics may be useful even though it’s a civilian one…

Here’s the best match I found for Wayne’s grinder, but this one is a circular saw

In the manual pictures I have they show switching out the blade for the grinding wheel, so that is most likely it. Here it shows how to install the adapter.

Here are a few more period pics. IIRC, these dozers belonged to the 27th Land Clearing Company

As you can tell from Frenchy’s and other’s pictures all the plows weren’t set up exactly alike. Differences in armor and numbering and paint jobs with different units. Wayne

For me this picture much is appreciated because in the back ground you’ll see an M37 with a tool body otherwise known as a M56B1 Maintenance truck also offered by Hobby Link . .

I tried to order this kit from Wannamaker a couple months back but his email server was having issues and I couldn’t connect with him.

Also, a couple of unusual cats. A D7 and a D9, and a D7 with a regular push blade, used to shove up the brush and cut trees. Wayne

I guess these are D9’s as well…

Australians used D8s, as far as I know. Hobby Link makes kits of them. I always thought this would go good with the plows being refueled. Wayne

Yes indeed, one modeler built and posted an M548 that was very well done and almost matched your photo to a “T”, 2023 post if I’m not mistaken.

There was another maintenance truck used there, based on a Dodge Power Wagon chassis

A little off topic, but these discussions mean a lot to me, as they are reminders of past times and experiences. Hopefully sharing these things are a way of keeping my and others memories alive. And Iam looking forward to all of your all’s works. Wayne

Not sure if that’s 62nd or 92nd trailer. I know we hauled for 62nd when they were short of trucks. They were based right up the hill from us at Long Binh. Wayne
