1/35 VPK Lightweight Land Rover

This has been out a little while now a 3D print of the lightweight Land Rover…nicely detailed and the only version of the VPK [vehicle protection kit] available in this scale …
It’s a simple model to put together but has plenty of scope for extra detail…so on we go

'Love the Lightweight Terry, I learnt to drive in one, courtesy of the Int Corps, bless 'em.

Looks good and love the detail. I have the Firing Line one (bog standard) and long neglected in my stash; anyway, keep at it.

Funny you did that; I was thinking of getting one - they were such fun to drive - but I note they’re going (if you can find one) for between 12-15 grand these days. I might just have to stick to 1:35,

The lightweight is printed by a chap in Holland …so the usual postal issues depending where in the world you live .Hes a one man band and prints to order so it can take a couple of weeks as he has a day job as well.
Personally as a base kit it comes out ok …little niggles like the hand brake needs adding and I didn’t like the original wheels tyres but he has re done them on newer ones .it scales out well to the original vehicle…but as with everything always room for extra detail

Having made the decision to go along the Clansman route…I needed to make a 352 with some extras
Most of it won’t be seen unless you look

That radio and backpack frame are phenomenal. That item alone will put this model over the top. It’s things like this that make a finished piece truly outstanding.
