1/35th HH-60W

That’s what I’m trying to learn to do. I think my next purchase is a 3d imager which will help me out a lot. Can you guys suggest the best places to get models? I am a Whiskey Simulator Instructor now and am hoping I can use the 3d imager to scan actual parts and shrink them. I have access to the real helicopter also just need to make sure it will work and don’t break any rules.

Awesome. I hope you can scan/digitize the nose. That is the piece hardest to make for the conversion. The rest is pretty straight-forward or already available, i.e. upturned exhaust, gunner chairs, etc…

If you want in the US, Sprue Brothers and Squadron are pretty good. I get most of mine from eBay and overseas sellers. Even with shipping, they are usually cheaper.

Thanks for the info. The bigs things unique to the Whiskey over the Mike model is the nose and the external gun mounts on the exterior and the crew seats, litter system, cabin displays on the interior. The cockpit is very similar to the Mike model. I will definitely let you guys know if I get my 3d scanner and if it works.
