It is shaping up to be an excellent model…A wonderful example of old school modeling
/ scratchbuilding. Please, keep it on.
Have a good one.

It’s not necessary “old school”. I work both 3D or Handcraft.
And after 35 yrs to sculpting, it’s easier to sculpt than doing it in 3D.
And later, scanning handcraft model to 3D…
Now, exterior details…
Hope you like it

… Old, new… your work is really good. So, if I understood properly, after sculpting the pieces, you will scan and refine in 3D renders and then print it?.
If so, would you use the 3D printed pieces to do the molds for a resin model? Or would you leave it as a 3D model?.
As said before, it is a real pleasure to see how it is coming along. Excellent work.
Have a good one.

I will use actual parts directly for making molds in silicon and items in resin cast.
If I have to update some details, I will scan them for retooling parts.
But scanned, they will be perfect, if I want doing it at an other scale, 1/43, 1/56, 1/35
And be insane, 1/24 or 1/16…
Best regards

@ MLB (Bikerfou). Really nice work you’re doing here. Thank you for sharing the process!

Thanks a lot
I hope Master will be done for early March.
After, it will be silicon molds, Pré-production, and instruction sheet.
Console center of Dashboard for 1/48th Master AS-532UL, done.
Indicated in millimeters.
Not in inch…
Hope you like it…

I re-tooled air intake of the turbines
And started working on the rotor transfer case.

Hello.
Hope that everything is going ok. Missing the updates in the subjet…
Have a good one.
JFG.
All is everything ok.
Now it’s molding of parts done, and finishing dozen of details, like Dashboard, Pedals, Cargo seats, filters of air-intake…
And like I’m not enough lack of time, I’m on 1/48 Master of BTR-D, and 1/48 Master of BTR-70(later BTR-80) + differents turrets for it( MA4, MA7-2, MA9)
Nice. Definitively, I will be interested in the BTR-80 too.
Specifically, I would like to do a BTR-80A, like this one in the pictures:
Keep it up…
JFG
I’m on the turret too
