Any one know about the new Academy MH-53E whit new parts. Anyone know if this kit can make both the CH-53E and MH-53.

this is a new one on me, maybe they’ve improved the rotorheac as their are more detailed resin versions and there might be some PE cockpit and seatbelt items.
I wasn’t aware there were any new parts added either. I thought it was a straight reissue of their previous kit. Regarding whether you can make a CH-53E from the kit, the answer is no. The kit only has the large Sea Dragon sponsons in the box (at least that’s the way the old one was boxed).
Yea I know that I was just hoping they might have added the parts in for a CH-53. Caracal decals is making new deals for different birds. Maybe Academy will reissue their CH-53.
I know one person on this thread will be happy. I finally got photos of the CH-53 sponsons so I can detail them properly before casting them in resin.

Caravan has stopped making some of the decals for the CH-53E and the Academy CH-53E kit will never be re-released as the original molds for the sponsons was damaged beyond repair.
18bravo said he was going to 3D print replacement parts to convert the MH back to the old CH version but I don’t know if he has managed to do this yet hint hint!

I contacted them about a month ago as I wanted to back date my Revell version to the Vietnam war era but they no longer produce/sell certain ones anymore.
