1/72 Academy F-35A Lightning II

I started this as my state’s local ANG will be receiving these to replace their aging F-15s. MA ANG at Barnes AFB in Westfield MA. I am hoping I can find decals for the MA unit but they won’t even arrive for a few days. Here is my start.

The cockpit is done and glued in to the bottom fuselage.

The Mass. ANG received their new F-35As today at Barnes AFB in Westfield , Mass.

Fuselage top glued on.

I added the cockpit and puttied up a few small gaps.

Puttied areas sanded and tails added.

Sanded the puttied areas and added the EOTS under the nose in front of the nose gear well, ready to mask and paint.

I ordered the gunship gray paint. It should be in next week.
