My next project is a half of the Eduard 2145 “Gustav Pt. 2” set. I’m going to finish them in Maj Eino Luukkanen (marking E) camouflage.
Till now I painted some elements RLM 02 (Gunze H70) and prepared some to paint RLM 66 (Gunze H416).
I’ll be here virtually looking over your shoulder, Andrzej! Everything Finnish is interesting for me. AFAIK, Eino Lukkanen is the 3rd ranking ace of the Ilmavoimat, right?
Yes, just behind Juutilainen and Wind.
Painted RLM 66 (Gunze H416) and RLM 04 (Gunze H413) in cockpit.
Instrumental panel from PE parts.
And the spinner painted white (Tamiya X-2)
i was tempted to do the same aircraft as you but have opted for the JG 3 machine from France 1944 and the Italian ANR-machine. I’ll keep a keen eye on your build!
Magnus
Following with interest, Andrzej
I worked with PE parts and finally I’m finished cockpit.
After that I could glued fuselage.
At the end of the day fuselage looks like below:
For sure I’m building Me-109
Time to check everyting, add some small parts, paint clear parts and put surfacer.
Still painting:
RLM 75 (Gunze H69).
RLM 74 (Gunze H68).
Masks removed.
I need to check everything and correct some points.
I hate a new double Eduard’s decals:
Now I’m going to use decals from Techmod “Finnish Air Force Swastikas and Serials 1934-45” set.
Ooops! That looks bad, Andy! I can feel your pain, my friend. Maybe you ask Eduard for a replacement decal sheet. I think they are very helpful. Write them an e-mail! I think it’s support@…
This mishap alo nearly happend to me when I built my Mustang Mk. IV dual combo. Since then I leave the transfer film on. It’s not really visable anyway. Only when you look very close.
I know, Torsten. They helped me few times. But this time Techmod set will be a better solution. My friend has this set and is going to send me all needed national insignias.
I replaced all insignias into Techmod - it’s much better.
But still I need to put a lot of stencils.
Eino is looking and smiling, I’m sure …
