Recently started working on a 1/72 scale Humvee conversion to mid 2000s GMV. This is my first 72 scale, used to working on 1/35. I’ve seen posts online of 1/72 GMVs with the corrugated / almost guard rail type bed rails that seem standard. All the links to 72 GMV conversions are old and not made anymore. Curious if anyone knows of a place you can currently purchase them or a good idea how to scratch build, specifically the side rails. I’ve tried using some real thin aluminum and bending it into the shape but not great results. Currently trying to build with thin sheet styrene (for sale sign from Lowe’s). A couple pictures of beginning and current state. Working on cleaning up the cuts now.

Check Evergreen siding. I might be able to tell you the size when I get home. I used it in 1/35.

That looks great for what I need. Thinking maybe .040 spacing would the right size.
