After several months away from modeling I thought I’d start back in with a small one. The base is approx. 3"x3". Ground work all scratch built and the two figures are from the Master box ‘American Civil War Series’ set #MB3581.
Nicely done Charles !!!
I second Glenn, nicely done Charles.

I see you used “raw” wood for the fence rails. Are they from any particular kind of small tree or bush branches? Or are they just chunks torn out of some really old lumber/barn wood?

These are small cut up branches that come from ‘Huckleberry’ bushes that are growing in our yard. I use them frequently in dioramas. I think they look natural in 1:35 setting if they are the right size (diameter)
In the diorama I split them and treated them with a product called “Weather All” which turns natural wood gray.
Examples of the branches being used in my dioramas:

Dave,
Thanks for the kind words. Below are links to the finished dioramas/vignettes. The photos above were just partially finished and picked to show the branches in use. Couldn’t find the second photo’s dio on Kitmaker so it’s linked to another forum (hope that’s okay)
The third dio was never posted anywhere
