1959 Cadillac/Elcomeno/Corvette

“El Cadillette”

This car was build because of a rendering i saw about 5 yrs ago
I always wanted to build it in scale. And I finally did.
Cut the roof and shortened it. Cut off the B Pillar and added new ones to make a 59-60 Elcomeno roof out of. Used a rear elco window for it. Added a panel where the rear seat gos and added a set of Subs with a custom cover that opened and closes. The interior is custom with a 59 Impala dash cut to fit. 60s corvette seats, and steering wheel. And 60s corvette inspired rear deck led. Custom center console with more gages and a phone and 20" shifter.
The front bumper is custom modified to have corvette teeth, and 56 caddie Dagmars. The rear bumper was modified to have 57 chevy grille insert added to it. And a extra set of 59 bullets to the backup lights. The body got some Corvette side scoops, and some custom rear skirts.
The engine is the stock caddie block with custom value covers and 8 stack injection manaflod. The trunk was modified to hold a switch and batteries for a lighting kit. The chassis is glass black with a hand painted frame to match the color of the engine bay.
The LEDs work the headlights and rear custom light behind the new insert area. And 2 LEDs to light up the seats to light up the interior.
Then I added Exhaust pipes that come out of the body of the fenders.
And to top it all off, 20" 100 spokes from 3D scale parts.

That is one wild custom, I absolutely love it!

Superb job, so much to see on every aspect of this build. Do you have any in-progress shots you could share?

Cheers, D

Thank you.

An absolute beast of a custom. So many cool additions to it- the lights look awesome and you gotta love the half covered rear wheels alongside the double trunk!

Well there’s more of that awesome talent I’m always ranting about that you find on KM!
All you need now is a figure of Elvis in a glittery gold jacket standing next to the car and a crowd of onlookers admiring the car and ignoring Elvis. Very nice looking chop and drop, I especially like the giant speakers in the rear deck, too cool.

Thank you so much.

So much to see on this model. You put in a lot of work. Thanks for also showing the tip shots.
How did you make the, chrome piping trim rear skirts?

Its made out of nail art strips. But these strips suck. They crack and fall aparts after a day of being out in the open. I havent found a good source to replace them yet. As you can see right here. didnt even notice while taking this photo it already cracked.
