Progress on the Fu8 and Fu4 set-up.
Shaping up beautifully J, so good to see an interior which will actually be seen
oh yes Sir! I am too old to build something that won’t be seen now. Waste of time,
J
Lovely build and super detailing JR. Although the radios look superb, I particularly love the wood finish on the benches. Super realistic.
Thanks mate! I appreciate that buddy,
J
All the cabling, Morse key and the speaker look very nice
That handwritten note…
Thanks man!

Thanks buddy. I like the personal touch,
J
covered the MG42 for rainy weather with a zeltbahn made from putty.
Replaced the thick plastic wonky rails at the sides of the open compartment with brass rod.
Otherwise not much to report,
J
It’s enough to be impressed still
Just love your work Jerry.
Cheers
D
Thank you Sir! Happy you liked it man.

Small progress report.
Made a pushed back canvas cover and a breadbag out of putty. Added the small antenna base on the far side and built an armored large antenna base on the near side. Added a K59 rear MG mount. All are in various stages of painting. I added more green areas to the zeltbahn. I think it is improved a bit.
All the extras really do give it the real feel.
Thanks for the kind words buddy!
J
Very nice detailing on this model.
thank you Sir!
I am attempting to do a Hill 112, sd.kfz 251/3 IV Ausf D, and like you information is very hard to come by. I do want to do the FU11SE100 and FU12SE80 radios as in Funksammler’s article. I’ve been researching info on this particular topic for quite awhile and just run into dead ends.
Did you find any info on what antennas were used and where they were located? The kurblemast KM9 (I believe it was on drivers side) was required for the FU11, do you have any measurements for scratch building one? If you could help me with any further info I would be very appreciative.
