Sol Model will release 1/16 and 1/35 scale WWII German 2cm Gebirgs Flak 38 in March 2025.
Oh glory! Thank you, Sol, I’ll take one in 1/16 today. And a crew for it tomorrow.
A few mods and it can be used by the Empire on Hoth.
Wow! I have all the manuals of this Flak and what I see is, that SOL made a fantastic job on
the design of that model. All I can see here is spot on. I had to go the hard way via scratch building.
Hopefully SOL also will offer the late version with the alternative cover plate for the elevation mechanism on the side.
Congratulations to the designer at SOL!
Wow! This is gorgeous! I’ll definitely pick up the 1:35, but everyday I’m more and more tempted to break into 1/16th with offerings like this. Especially with the new 250’s and grenadiers.
Maybe they will make a subset (gun, barrel, clips etc.) to replace the 20mm on some of the older kits like the Tamiya 222 and others.
The RSO in 1:16 would be really cool and could be a great base for different
versions. At least I was already able to create the combination with the Gebirgsflak
in 1:35 scale.

Weird magazines, skinny gun tube…
