Hi all
I call this one done
It’s the 2S7M 203mm SPG from Trumpeter with a turned metal barrel from RB Models.
Hope you like it

Impressive model! Could you post a figure next to it, to give a impression of size?

That really is a cool looking SPG, lots of surface detail to draw your attention, I like those Russian AFV’s that have the driver’s cab low slung, in line with the centerline of the vehicle’s mass (does that make sense?).
Since I know zip about Russian armor what period was this active? Is there a rule of thumb dictating what color green they would decide to paint their tanks and such?
I’d bet this thing was a beast to drive.

That thing is a monster; and I thought the 203mm M110 Howitzer was big. Looks like a potato gun in comparison to that one.

The major users in the Poland and Czech Republic gave them up in 1990 to 2006 timeframe. Still in service with Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan, M version started production in 1982. Of course, still being used in the Russia-Ukraine war.

They are from the mid 70’s and both Russia and Ukraine are currently fielding them.
As for colours, I simply mix green shades until I like the colour.

Lovely work Jacob- I like the color you’ve gone for and the detail painting, dirt and weathering look spot on.

the concept will never work well as it’d built on a tank hull. Also looks like the Russians didn’t learn a thing from the captured M107’s.
