I asked them about their 1/35 SOC-R boat U.S. Rangers, which they offered to sell individually and scale up to 1/16 scale, which they said that they can do.
Communications have been spotty off-and-on. They quickly took my price offer (3D-Wild didn’t say that it was too much) and said that they’ll print a test copy of a 1/35 Ranger for me, meaning I suppose that they don’t have any 1/35 Rangers printed yet even with the SOC-R orders. I haven’t heard from them in about a week and they sent no photos of any test prints. Perhaps they’re having “technical difficulties” 3D-printing the newest SOC-R?
I ordered nothing and I paid for nothing…just a “look-see” if they can make the U.S. Rangers in 1/16 scale. I am having some doubts myself custom-ordering from them for a company that has several other kits for sale. Hmmmmm….![]()
I have some of their 1/350 stuff and it’s gorgeous. That said, I’ve got some orders dating back to last October and every time I email them I get “shipping next week/two weeks”. They’re very nice and their stuff is beautiful but they need to work on setting realistic expectations and maybe on getting existing orders out before introducing new products. I’ll forgive them completely if they give us a 1/350 Forrestal tho.
Yes, I have. They take their time. I suspect the kits are only printed after an order is placed. I ordered the M1070A1, a great kit. I was even able to reorder parts for it.
I was very satisfied, even though it took a while.
Thanks all. i messaged them through their FB page and got a reply back. seems they batch print items once they have enough orders, but dont mention that when you’re placing an order. they also said they sometimes have to delay email responses due to heavy workload. I’m thinking this may be a 1 or 2 man operation
