I would NEVER recommend any product or material unless I have tried it successfully myself. That would be dishonorable.

Everyone should act like that .
Buy kits from private ads and save a lot of money , in fact i have bought zero kits from any shop the last two years ( around +100 kits ) .
Use professional putty from car body shop, that is very price worthy

Buy some things in bulk / large size .
Tape buy the bulk packages 5-6 rolls.
Q-Tips - buy them from your local discount stores , Amazon , eBay . Got a box of a 1000 tear drop shape on wood sticks for I think 9 or 10 bucks from Amazon . After using the tips , cut off the cotton and use the stick for various other things .
Buy your thinners / cleaners in the largest bottle’s , saves in the long run .
Make your sanding sticks .
