Hello,
I’m sharing some pictures of the CAD for my 7.5 cm leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18.
I designed and gun in Shapr3D in 1:35 scale, based on scale drawings. The design, and tweaks, took about 12-14 hours.
Length: about 8.5 cm
Width: about 5 - 6 cm (it depends on which wheels you use)
Height: about 4 cm
The gun consists of 7 parts:
- carriage
- gun shield
- gun
- wheel x2
- gun axel
- gun sight
And there are options!…
gun with breach open / gun with breach closed
shield with sighting window open / shield with sighting window closed
early type wooden wheels / late type wheels with pneumatic tyres
wheel blocks for the early type wooden wheels (for when the gun is in firing position)

Thanks, SableLiger! And thanks for the photos. Here is another which inspired the wheel lock blocks…

That’s some clever work going on there; clearly the way ahead I suspect for modelling (though I hope not mainstream just yet).
I have the venerable Tamiya white metal version languishing somewhere in the stash.

Brian that’s not languishing, it’s vinting! That model is a highly prized and sought after collector’s item!

Oh, well, lucky me then! I had plans to do it in Reichswehr service - that lovely Buntefarbenanstrich colour scheme perhaps.

Which scheme is that Brian? My German is very rusty lol

This sort of thing - this is the only pic I could find quickly.
Apologies Matthew - 'didn’t mean to hijack the thread(!) - I do find it an interesting weapons system/concept - immediate fire support for the infantry.
