Looks nice, but are linked belts usually described as M13 Cartons?

It’s a real marking, apparently.

M13 is the designation for the links, not the cartons.

I’d really like to see the 1/35 ones painted up. If they look anything like the 1/16 ones (which I doubt) it would represent a paradigm shift in modeling.

And now recall seeing M13 engraved/stamped on the links themselves….. Age

You and Skipper would know better than me but I think the cartons are about the size of the M19A1 box’s interior, or half, not the smaller cartons that held 20 or 50 loose rounds that we may be accustomed to.

Not really, last time I handled live belted 7.62 was 1996, plenty of time to not recall the details…

I’ve got about 10 real 7.62 ammo boxes I got back in the 70’s. I used them to store 8 track tapes :flushed_face:
