A Pigeon Bus from WWI, served as collecting point for messenger pigeons from the front lines.
I thought that this was an interesting picture. Would make for a nice diorama.
Thanks,
Randy

Roden makes one in 1/72, although it’s a different type of bus.
Somebody did his home work on this one:

Is that a French Army Pigeon Loft? I love the pigeon sat on the blokes’ head, if you model that remember to add some guano running down the back of his jacket!
For a while now I’ve been expecting MiniArt to release a pigeon loft based on their “Old Bill” bus
https://miniart-models.com/product/39001-b-type-military-omnibus/
given that they subsequently released the requisite flock of pigeons

but it looks like that idea has flown the coop…

M
I wouldn’t be surprised if Roden did one in the near future, would be very welcome.
I have a vague recollection of a conversion build of the old Airfix bus in one of the magazine’s a few years back.
Think Miniart will release a pigeon carrier in the near future based on their London Bus / Lorry 3t. They already have the bus and released a set of pigeons recently. You do the maths…
Yes, Miniart is who I was thinking of. Roden did the small scale bus series. Got them confused.
