A simple Local early tractor field show display

I was given these 6 models at an exhibition, in February of this year… Five farm tractors and one Unimog vehicle, all 1:32 scale die-cast models, were given to me, as the client puts it; ‘Make something outta it, and make it work together’. Check out the ‘before’ collage photo of all six vehicles and the ‘after’ photos of the completed commission.

That’s clever. Taking those pristine models and thinking a bit outside the box, and producing a simple yet perfect dio … The weathering and vehicle ageing is simply superb.

You da man, no question – beautiful work & presentation, it must have been a nice vacation to not build any! Two questions – did you detail any of them? And how did you do the corrosion on the TE-20?

Much appreciated Johnny. Thanks.

Thank you kindly, dioramamartin. The only little detailing done to these, were done to only two of these vehicles. The Belarus MTS-50 and the Zetor 50. The Belarus I modified the left window by opening up the window. By cutting out one half of the glass pane and giving the illusion that it was missing or removed. For the Zetor, I added winch to the front of the tractor used to crank the engine. I am assuming, that was the purpose. As for the corrosion on the Te20, I used a much simple method. By blending MIG pigments black and rust color, I just dabbed on the pigments in various section and used orderless thinner to blend them in place. When I was satisfied with the look I Accentuated various areas of the rust by going over them with some black and burnt amber oil paints.
