Excited to see this dual build & compare!
It should be said : the air vent cover, at the front of Dragon’s engine hatch, is not accurate.
The correct cover is the same one from Late kits.
David
We are relying on you for corrections , there’s not anything I can do about these as they were built around 8 years ago. I wonder how this RFM kit compares to the newest one.
There’s a lot of Tigers coming from Takom hey a set of 3 and a 1/16th. figure.

It should be said that on the real Tiger you were not supposed to move that idler wheel beyond 30 degrees. There are two little bumps on the housing ring to mark the limits. I don’t think it was even possible to go much beyond them because the screw that adjusts the wheel is only so long.
If you needed more, you were supposed to change the number of track links.
David
That’s true for most tanks, not just the Tiger. Movement of the idler is limited, after that you add or remove track blocks.
It gets trickier with tanks like the King Tiger or T-34 which used track blocks in sets of two, the idler has to be able to move farther to accommodate the length of two blocks.

Very useful. I am enjoying this thread. Thank you.
Now the Finish Pics.
There all done.
Don’t ask which one is which , I don’t remember.

Two fantastic builds, nice comparison, thank you Donald. A++
