A tip to increase KitMaker readership

When posting in other non-KitMaker model sites: If you know of a KitMake post that might be pertinent to the topic you are right then reading; Might I suggest adding a link to the particular KitMaker post and connecting that link to the other modeling website.

Doing this will add further information to the other website and will also quietly invite others to check out the KitMaker post and perhaps introduce them the the KitMaker site overall.

I recently did this on several model railroading sites that were focusing on using antique store signage. I posted a note and a link to the KitMaker thread that offers classic signage in the Model Railroading section.

I like the idea but am wondering if there is any type of unofficial etiquette we should be aware of?

Cheers,

Haha maybe it’s a Canadian being polite thing but I always ask if it’s ok before I link a different site just to be politically correct :joy:

Not that I am being rude to anyone or anything like that but most sites (not all) do allow links to be posted.

Again this allows more people to be exposed to the KitMaker site in general and could get us some new members thereby strengthening this site overall.

As an example: I was on a Model Railroad site that was talking about old signs and signage so I posted the link to my thread here that offers restored, downloadable signage.
