AC-47 cowl color

O.K. Simple question. What color were the engine cowl,firewall for the AC-47s? Factory color? (which was??) or did they get a new color after 25-30 year rebuilds?

While snooping for AC-47 stuff found this… Didnt know the Poles had AC-47s!!!

Greetings from Poland! I’m pretty sure we didn’t have any AC-47s as in “Spooky”. We sure had some C-47As that were used alongside Li-2s (Lisunov - Soviet license copy of the C-47). Unless I’m missing something that boxtop looks like a mistake or a joke.

Erection & Maintenance Instructions ? X Rated? Middle photo looks like it is fully stripped for restoration.

Erection & Maint . just mentions Douglas primer specs for touch up. (Page 640A) IPMS Stockholm has info on damn near everything except C-47s. Also, were they repainted/ reprimed between build in 43/44 and mod to AC-47 in 66-67 (?)
