Academy releases a German Panzer I Ausf. B & Motorcycle in 1/35th scale.
I wonder what molds the motorcycle is from. I do not believe Academy ever released a motorcycle kit.
It says 100% new tooling so I would guess Academy now has a motorcycle kit.
This kit has been out for awhile already. There are already numerous reviews of it. The kit is 100% new, including the motorcycle.
The bike looks like a BMW R75 from this angle. If so, these two vehicles don’t belong together chronologically, at least not in this configuration of the Pz I; as a Befehlswagen, maybe.
I want the motorcycle, in reviews it looks good. I don’t do armour. I wish they would release the bike separately. I’ll probably have to buy the kit and offload the tank on eBay.
This kit is very nice. I got it from Japan for a very low price. The figures are what caught my eye. The two motorcycle figures are depicted in the rubberized motorcycle coat with fantastic posed and facial features. The motorcycle, Panzer I and panzer commander are all nicely done. The motorcycle and figures, alone, are worth the price of the kit. www.Track-Link.com has the kit announcement and photos of the built-up kit. I look forward to building this as soon as possible.
This one came to my attention a month or two back. Pictures of the built up models look very nice. Pairing a motorcycle with a tank is a great idea and the price is very attractive.
Since this is an Academy product, I am waiting for more information before making a purchase. For me, this kit is in direct competition with the Hobby Boss (former TriStar) Panzer I and a few other tankette models.
I purchased the Academy Panzer 35t a few years ago and was very pleasantly surprised. Academy has really upped their game in the detail and research departments. Although I bought aftermarket for it out of habit, it really needs very little and could be an excellent model OOB.
I have seen this Academy Pz. I and R75 kit at a club meeting in person and got to go over the parts. It is a beautiful kit. The molding and detail are crisp and accurate.
The blog on Track Link (there are two) reveal two very nice kits that build effortlessly and are well and accurately detailed. The price point makes it worth buying for the motorcycle and figures alone. If I didn’t already have 6 Pz. I’s and 3 R75’s I would most certainly order this Academy kit right away, with confidence.
The Gespann is a Zündapp K750.
The other builders here on Armorama will knock these models out of the park. No doubt about that.
Really excited for the kit, should go really nicely with the Panzer II and III that I had purchased a little while back.
100% new molds. I have the kit and it is very nice.
