Hello all,
I am trying to finish off the Tamiya Panzer IIFs in my stash and I am kicking myself that I didn’t grab as many of the aftermarket tracks as I could have back in the day. I went through the usual online stores and eBay (after checking out all available options on scalemate) and it doesn’t look like any of the older and more affordable (<$20), like the Bronco ones, are in production anymore or available - and T-Rex/Fruil tracks at >$40 seem to be the only sets I could find.
Are there any options I am missing, like maybe trying to buy the track sprues from the new DML or Academy kits (I checked their website and I can’t figure out if they are selling sprues separately)? Not that I had any luck finding or buying individual sprues from Tamiya, but would their new A/B/C kit work - I think it was the same series of tracks but I couldn’t confirm yet?
Thanks in advance
Deniz
Quicktracks makes a 3D printed set for $20 plus $7 postage to the USA.
Another Ebay seller has the sprues from the Tamiya kit for about $22 with shipping. (You have to buy two sprues.)
I recall that Maquette/RPM/MSD and that lot made styrene indy link tracks ages ago.

Thanks, Kurt. If the A/B/C tracks are OK, I will try to source them directly from Tamiya first (it sometimes works and is much cheaper than eBay if you buy in bulk).

That’s what I meant with kicking myself - there were so many options around $10. You think they will be around by the time you decide to build some of these kits in the stash, but everything dries up within a couple years.

The description for the Quicktracks also mentions Maultier
and Masterbox had/have this set for the Maultier and some other vehicles.

Maybe they could work?
