Finished this one today.
Nice job
. Did it come with the driver’s section or is it empty inside?
Thanks Robert !
It had an interior with driver section, also inside the turret.
But since I did a Pz 38(t) with full interior awhile back, and I have a MTLB and a T-54 both with full interiors on the bench… I ‘d had enough with interiors for awhile..

So mine is empty but you can with this AFV Club kit get the side doors, vision ports and turret with opened hatches.
How was the fit of the kit?
Looks nice — I’ll have to get one of these AFV Club 231s or 232s. One thing that you might consider changing is it appears the 2cm cannon and its coaxial MG aren’t in line with one another. Maybe it’s the photo? Maybe it’s the kit?
Check that perhaps?
It’s the kit. ( maybe my own fault too… it happens a lot …
)
there’s a small plastic part to cover one part of the coaxial MG, when I added that the machine gun changed it’s position maybe 1 or 2 degrees…
Hi Dan,
I didn’t like the fit to be honest the hull sides and some plates were a pain to get properly aligned also the chassis & suspension were not easy to build.
Thanks, AFV kits sometimes can be a challenge. I do like the look of their 263 version.
That 263 will be on my bench in a month or two I think… I’ll let you know !
You are right , some of them are superb to work on others it’s a little challenging to say the least..
I hope you blog that here.
Hello!
I’ve got their 233 and it’s open top, so I would like to build that interior. Thing is, the rear driver is facing the motor’s radiator in real life… And in the model there is a gaping hole there… No engine top and no radiator, very strange. References showing how it should look like are not really to be found on the ‘net… While looking for ‘em I noticed one (THE ONE?) museum 8-Rad doesn’t have the engine neither, so that’s probably how it happened. I sure admire the Eastern model kit manufacturers for how they deal with holes in the reference materials - they either leave a hole in the model or dream something up. Don’t let lack of knowledge stop you from manufacturing AND selling something!
Have a nice day!
Paweł
Thanks for the input Pawel !!
Ok Dan !!
I will !!! ![]()
Awesome
Sorry it took so long to respond but I had missiles to dodge. Yeah if it’s closed up it doesn’t matter . Just more stuff for the spares box. Or crate.. I had so many spares I could be have built a lot of stuff from it.
When I built those things with wings I’d add stuff that only I knew was there like in the old faithful monogram 1/48th bombers I’d make maps and charts to put in the map holder and one on the table with the tools of navigation I’d add personal items in all positions . I did the B29 a couple time and had a half figure climbing into the tube. And in the other one the top half coming out of the tube. I put thermoses in position for the pilots and everyone else and boxed lunches for the long flight band even a crewman in the bed.. no one else knew it was ever there.. modeling I miss it..
Keep it up.
No problem Robert, you respond when you can.
When I started the 231 I already knew that it would be closed up.
I got a bit frustrated with the Tristar Pz38(t) Ausf,B with interior, since the kit was perfect, with great detail everywhere but seeing the possible opened hatches I knew that all that work ( engine, transmission, seats, radio rack, etc) … was almost impossible to see.
I’d love to see some photos of those bombers if you have them, post them here, hijack the thread !

If I took pictures of those who was with an old SLR 35 mm film camera that’s how long ago it was and I highly doubt it I’d have to look at the negative box if I can find it. I haven’t built in since 2014 was the last time I put two pieces together I miss it but I can’t do it anymore due to health reasons but I enjoy watching other people do it and seeing their results and helping people when I can with research or whatever
The classic-
I didn’t knew that it was so long since you built.
Sorry to hear about your health issues.
Glad to have you around helping with research and commenting on our builds
I loved the work that Shep Paine did. Would try to modify the kits like he did but they did not come out as nice.
