Just saw this, makes me happy anyway!
Best news this year, or ever.
Will it be better than the Ferret?
It will be the best Stalwart in styrene, at least for some time …
You expect competitive kits? Depending on the quality I am in with this. I am sure that Michael Shackleton will come to the rescue. To be honest I was not impressed by the Airfix Ferret.
Nah, not really but since I can’t promise that there will not ever be another one in styrene …
On the other hand, if it has faults/omissions or areas for improvement there will be an opportunity for after market producers, similar to the Airfix Ferret
Bundeswehr tested it in the 1960´s, so a version in Gelboliv is possible.
C’mon Guys - we’re modellers; it can be as rough as it likes - I’ll fix it if I can!
The perfect kit doesn’t exist - we all know that. If this is genuine then let’s just be happy.
Are there any walk arounds online? I remember that I had the Airfix 1/32 model back in the days.
A floating trailer? Cool.
Swedish Stalwart.

Maybe we can hope for a Limber version?
This is on my must-have-list now.
I do wish I’d bought that Accurate Armour jerrican load now(!)
If you’ve got a spare engine from a 1:35 scale Gloster Meteor, you can make an interesting conversion:
This is a Stalwart used by the fire brigade of the Dutch town of Rhenen in 1996. It was apparently inspired by the tanks with jet engines used to put out the oil fires in Kuwait in 1991.
I know its early in the year but this is outstanding … well done Airfix. And any tweaks will be easy to fix … Very happy with this. If only I had bought that AA UBRE kit to put in the back… Still, great wagon to do even as a cargo one and they were great fun to drive. Looking forward to this … and options for a few colour schemes as well.
I think theres a yellow rescue one as well I have seen images of.
There are a few decent video walkrounds on YT
In addition to being in use with the Royal Armoured Corps, and dedicated Royal Corpss of Transport units, they served as limber vehicles with the Royal Artillery: Abbot, M107, M109, and M110. They were eventually fitted with small cranes to facilitate unloading of ammo, but not initially I understand. Happy to be put right by a Gunner Ninja.
This really is great modelling news I feel!
I doubt it will be possible to locate drawings for it …
