Been a few weeks since the last update. I didn’t have any luck trimming the Yahu panel. It’s quite a thick piece and made from laminated etch (a pre-painted front piece and another with the dials behind) so it wasn’t easy to cut. I unfortunately also scratched it, so it was not looking it’s best anymore. So, I made up the rectangular face I had removed from the kit part, repainted and used the decal. Looks fine and behind all that framing will do the job. I’ll probably paint a couple more dials with some gloss black.

With that done, I should be back on track with this.

@phantom_phanatic A good strategy, PE is difficult to adjust to size, especially after it has been glued in place. And with modern kits, what’s in the box is often more than enough, especially when seen through the greenhouse glazing of a Blenheim nose!

Thanks. I’m happy with how it’s turned out.

Will have to get back onto the Blenheim soon, just trying to get a few campaign builds under way. I have been doing some test fitting of the engine cowlings and they seem a bit fiddly. Not sure why Airfix chose to mould each cowling in three separate parts, with the join line across the raised cylinder covers. I think they just like to make life difficult for us sometimes.
