Wow, that is nice! I love it!
Swordfish crippling the Italian fleet at Taranto inspired Pearl Harbor as everyone here knows.
Figures look outstanding.
Nicely done and congrats on finishing. Really like the overhead photo, it has a great sense of movement.
Cheers,
Colin
Serendipity! I used an 800 grit (VERY fine) aluminum oxide sandpaper to simulate an asphalt (tarmac) surface and brushed on dust pigments for dirt. Probably because of the grit surface it trapped the pigments and it didn’t spread around evenly, but it did present an appearance of motion blur.

Nice work.
The base really brings it to life.
What did you use for the rigging?
I considered several choices - thread, E-Z Line, stretched sprue, etc, but I settled on fine brass rod as I already had enough in stock.
Now if only I could make those rod supports under the wheels become invisible! ![]()

It’s worked quite well.
Especially for British aircraft as they tended to use more rigid wire in a aerofoil section. I’ve got a few spools of guitar E-strings I want to try out (I don’t play, but they were cheap so why not give it a go).
@Biggles50 I like it a lot! It really looks Swordfish to me and the motion blur feeling is remarkably convincing. I do like the crew as well and I’m extremely happy that I am not sitting in that cockpit somewhere between Iceland and Norway this time of the year 80 years ago…
@phantom_phanatic I’m sure there is enough string both for rigging and learning to play the guitar

I could never get the co-ordination! I’ve never been musically gifted.
@magnusf Thanks. It’s actually probably warmer between Iceland, and Norway than it is here today! ![]()
