Hi here is my Ferret virtually OOB except for the engine Louvre replaced by plastic card,hatches thinned down and the basket on the back. Excellent kit to introduce someone to modelling👍

Were such stowage baskets standard or have they been improvised by the units ?
They were improvised by unit metalsmiths. Ours in Cyprus were quite shallow so the turret and GPMG could still operate over the back decks as you can just about see in these two pics. In Germany I remember the Squadron Sergeant Majors Ferret had quite a large one as it was a Mk1 with a pintle GPMG so it didn’t matter as the gun couldn’t swing over the decks.
These still have not shown up at any of the model shops I frequent. What the hey, hey.
