Airfix Stalwart c/w SMM crane

Righto I’ve done the above and added a few ‘improvements’ to the kit. Instead of spending another £20 on the eduard set I’ve done what I can myself, the results are,
Imgur
Imgur
Headlight guards cut out and card put in,they do clean up!
Imgur
Imgur
Water jets cut and new vanes in,
Imgur
Imgur
New engine cooling grill
Lots of cutting and plastic card but it’s ‘fun’

That’s pretty much all that was done to the hull, the suspension Airfix have actually got spot on so no need to mess around with that! Onto the load bed bulkhead for some obscure reason the lift handles have been moulded onto it and the rest of the handles are separate parts:roll_eyes:sooo

Imgur
Out with the saw and as you can see a tad to much came off:flushed_face:more card needed,

Imgur
New handles made,

Imgur
The other four were much too thick so I sanded them down to a better size, that is a general criticism of this kit some parts are way to thick!

Imgur
First attempt and the windows didn’t go in flush,
Imgur
So the ledge around the windows was removed,
Imgur
Attempt two

Imgur
