AK Real Colors Protective Green coming out glossy

I have tried airbrushing AK Interactive Real Colors All Protective Green (RC309) but the finish comes out glossy. I thin it 50/50 with Tamiya Lacquer thinner.

I’m not sure why this is happening as I have sprayed other RC paints and they have come out dead flat.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on why this is happening? Or does this color supposed to come out glossy?

Whenever I’ve had real colors come out glossy it was due to not enough mixing. Don’t ask me why it happens but a good thorough mix in the jar usually returns it to a dead flat finish

If your AK Real Colors paint is drying glossy, you are either under-mixing the paint or over-thinning it. Both are easy fixes. However, since you’re going to shoot a gloss clear over it to decal the vehicle, why sweat it? NBD.

Thank you both for your replies. I will we try mixing the paint more thoroughly to see if that does the trick.
