Hi I see brick build kits for this on AliExpress, has anyone built them and would they work with 1/35 figures. Thanks
A friend of my daughter built one of those AliExpress sets, and I feel they are scaled closer to the actual Lego minifigs which are shorter than 1/35. But I don’t know how consistent the scales are across the product lines.
I don’t recall how big the APC was as far as LxWxH.
ETSY makes realistic looking ALIENS APCs in 3D prints. They may not be all 1/35 scale, but some might be close to that scale.
The key aspect is to buy an ETSY ALIENS APC without the print lines showing.
Some have interiors and many are for wargaming miniatures…choose and purchase accordingly. ![]()

There is also the Halcyon 1/35 scale kit. I have seen AM interior sets for it too. In the movie, it was actually called an M577 APC.
This is well out of production & people ask silly money prices.
It would be instructive to search a 3D sites like Gambody, Cults3D, Thingverse, Makerworld.
Yeggi.com is the google aggregator for the above sites. Search for M577 APC.
My jaundiced eye on Etsy suggests many of the above free/cheap files are on Etsy, but expensively priced.
Look for designers, or (Etsy sellers) who have good feedback, answer enquiries, can print in the scales/sizes you want, publish photos of actual prints, and will ship to your location.
PLA/FDM/extruded prints can give good robust results for R/C style vehicles, Resin printers are better for smaller print sizes & for higher detail.
Alternatively, buy a file you like & get it printed for you, many of the above sites now offer a direct print service, or get someone you know to print it for you.
Gambody has the APC with interior. You can print whatever scale you want.
I never quite knew how the interior looked like. The Gamebody STL files offer a very good example of the interior.
I think that 3D printing is the way to go. The 1/35 Halcyon APC is so OOP that it’s super-rare and very expensive, not to mention that the construction has very tight tolerances. I built it and it goes together nicely, but it’s a very hollow model and if not handled appropriately, things will break off because the pins-to-holes are very tiny. Besides, detailing wasn’t that great back then and the guns, muzzles, tire patterns, etc. weren’t as detailed as some of the 3D-printed offerings today.
I think you can even buy 1/35 ALIENS Colonial Marine figures from ETSY although you’re going to have to look for the ones that aren’t wargaming figure scale.
I highly recommend buying the “ALIENS Technical Manual” for fans of the movie.
If you have a 3D printer, makerworld has a free 1/18 setup with interior (i can imagine its huge)

I also almost finished one last year, some details left like controls and screens etc. I hope will make a test print soon ![]()
Many thanks for all the info, I will look into it.
