Interesting angle on this war I haven’t really thought about.

The title of the book really caught my attention for the same reason. I just never thought of the Civil War having amphibious tactics. A very interesting subject.

Hmm ….. you put the guys on a big boat, sailed down the coast (or river), put the guys in a row boat, paddled to the beach, kick guys off row boat. Or, more likely, send Infantry/ Artillery/ Cavalry/ Engineers overland, seize port. Put guys on boat, sail to port, tie up to dock, unload guys.
