AMPS 2023 Show Announcement - Judges Training on Zoom

The AMPS countdown clock shows we are closing in on 60 days till show time. So, at this point, I hope all you armor modelers are doing well and building away in anticipation of the AMPS 2023 show. Below are a few items to highlight as the show gets closer:

Online Judging Class: Chief Judge Dave Vickers will be hosting 2 AMPS Judging sessions via ZOOM in April. This would be a great time to ask those judging questions that keep you up at night unless you are already up and watching old Rat Patrol reruns.

Session 1: April 1st (Saturday) from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (Eastern Time Zone)

Session 2: April 4th (Tuesday) from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Eastern Time Zone)

Go to the AMPS home page: https://www.amps-armor.org and click on the link in the AMPS Judges’ Training Online section and click the link for Dave and he will send you the Zoom link closer to the date you selected. As always, AMPS needs judges to help keep the show on schedule, so take some time and consider volunteering for one or more judging shifts.

Pre-registration: Pre-registration remains open and is a great way to complete all forms before arriving at the show. Your entries don’t have to be completed to pre-register and accessing your forms to update or edit before the show is very easy.

Raffle donations: Georg Eyerman, who has graciously offered to fill in for Raffle Coordinator Frank Ciccarella this year, will be the point of contact for donations to the big AMPS raffle. Donations of newer released kits, figures, aftermarket and conversion sets, tools and reference materials would be most appreciated. If you cannot make it to the show this year but still want to donate, you can contact Georg at zululand66@comcast.net to coordinate getting your donation to him. Whether you can bring donations to the show with you or mail them ahead, provide Georg with a list of items.

This year’s convention is shaping up to be one for the AMPS history books, so you really don’t want to miss this one. So, until the next AMPS 2023 show update, keep building away!
