An AT-'LMTV' ST

Now for something totally different… a kit-bashed/scratch build design. The inspiration for this build came from a 3D artist by the name of Vlad Mojaev. I found his 3D renditions on Artstation website. His work sold me to make a scale model of his 3D art. I deviated from the original design by making changes to parts and areas that I thought would be more practical. The main kit used, was the 1:48 scale AT-St kit from Bandai( a really easy put together kit). Then I took parts from a Stryker and M1078 LMTV Cargo Truck w/ Armor Cab. I modified the Armor rear cab very heavily, and integrated the rear panel doorway into the armor cab. This give it a better entry into the armor cab. I kit-bash and did lots of small scratch building to get the parts somewhat similar to Vlad’s design. So I hope you like the overall look of the entire model.

Kitbashing anything successfully is always hard so this is a great example and case where it worked wonderfully. It looks very unique and interesting and it all goes well so nicely.

You’re figure painting look great…did you use decals for the ACU camouflaged figure in the LMTV ST?

Appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately the ACU figure, was done by someone else almost 15-16 years ago, when my figure painting skills was at high time low. But I just thought it would look nice together with the build, especially not having a figure on hand to paint. So I just used it as a prop and test shots.

Excellent bit of kit bashing there. Also inspiring, I do love the Bandai AT-ST as a kit and have made 3 of them. Now I’m inspired to raid my stash and far too large mass of hoarded bits to see what I might come up with myself
